A field guide to wearing it
Two small moths, one at the pocket and one at the coin pocket. Enough for the day; nobody has to notice both.
The printed moon sits under an open knit with botanicals on the pockets. Layer for the morning, strip back by noon.
Three pockets embroidered, one canvas panel printed. The pair that carries the cabinet out of the house.

Notes from the cabinet
No. 1
In the old cabinets the moths were pinned beside the butterflies and were always the harder ones to see. We embroider them small for the same reason: a mark you find on the second look, not the first.
No. 2
Old engravings drew the moon with crater linework, plate by plate, before photographs. The crew and the tee borrow that engraved disc; the pants keep only a crescent.
No. 3
A cabinet would keep a pressed flower and a drawing of the hand that held it. Ours climbs from a pocket toward the chest, in one stem, without a name tag.
